No. The Employee Assistance Program is fully paid for by the organization. The price depends on the number of employees, on the number of services included and on the agreed duration of the contract.
Only a certain number of free counselling sessions is available to the individual per year or per problem (depending on the agreement, usually from 5 to 6). In many cases, such a number of consultations is sufficient to resolve a particular problem. In case of serious problems that require longer treatment, the employee is referred to an appropriate expert from other sources of help (psychiatrist, psychotherapist, self-help group, etc.). These services are then payable by the employee, as they are no longer a part of the Employee Assistance Programme.
Yes, counseling is available in English, German, Croatian, Serbian or Bosnian. In this case face to face counselling is not always available, but we can asure video counselling sessions.
How is Employee Assistance Program different than any other programs for workplace health promotion?
The main advantage is 24/7 access to professional help. The great advantage and uniqueness of the program is that the help is not only available to employees, but also to their close family members. Many of the problems that negatively affect an individual’s work performance stem from private life. By providing assistance to family members, we indirectly also assist the employee.
EAP differs from other similar programs in that it provides individuals with assistance in solving a wide range of problems that individuals face at work or in their private lives.
